Katrina Suroveca was born in 1995 in Riga, Latvia. She studied at the Jāzeps Mediņš Riga Music Secondary School, followed by a bachelor’s degree at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music under Professor Sergejs Osokins. As part of the Erasmus+ exchange program, she continued her development at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf, and since 2022, she has been further deepening her artistry at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden with Professor Markus Groh. Katrina is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions, including the Yamaha Scholarship Competition, the Augustin Aponte International Music Competition, and Musical Fireworks in Baden-Württemberg, among others.
